Improbable Sells Subsidiary for $97M
On December 18, 2023, the metaverse technology company Improbable announced the sale of its subsidiary, The Multiplayer Group (MPG), to Keywords Studios for £76.5 million ($97.1M).
Herman Narula, CEO and Managing Director of Improbable, stated, "This marks the beginning of a new chapter for The Multiplayer Group and is part of our bold strategy leading into 2024 towards the metaverse and Web3 market."
He further added that 2024 will witness numerous companies focusing on developing platforms for the metaverse and Web3 due to their decentralized nature. Many projects have already begun testing their systems to prepare for user launches, indicating that the future of the Web3 market is imminent.
Improbable also forecasts significant innovations in the Web3 and metaverse markets, with new platforms integrating artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance user experiences.
Peter Lipka, another CEO at the company, emphasized, "Metaverse, Web3, and AI are set to revolutionize the digital technology industry as a whole, particularly the cryptocurrency market."
Improbable's strategic moves are not the only ones paving the way for the upcoming Web3 revolution. CEOs of major corporations like Yat Siu and Johnson Yeh are also making their own strategic arrangements in anticipation of these transformative trends.
