Mocaverse Raises Additional $11.88M Led by Animoca Brands

Mocaverse, a Web3 and Metaverse-themed NFT project developed by Animoca Brands, has secured $11.88 million in funding. The project features a collection of 8,888 NFT PFP (avatar) called Mocas, exclusively for Animoca Brands' community.

The Mocaverse community includes investors, employees, development teams, partners, and members of the "Mocalist" community.

Mocas NFTs within Mocaverse are divided into 5 different tribes, representing characters in the Web3 world. Each tribe possesses unique abilities that strengthen when combined.

Holders of Mocas NFTs gain access to Animoca Brands' four Realms: Learn, Play, Do Good, and Build. They also have access to an ecosystem comprising over 380 projects, including blockchain games, esports, platforms, and marketplaces developed by Animoca Brands.

Mocaverse's $11.88M raise was announced by Animoca Brands on December 8, 2023, marking a successful second funding round following an initial $20M investment in September 2023.

Key participants in this funding round include Block1, OKX Ventures, Foresight Ventures, Polygon Ventures, Dapper Labs, and others.

Animoca Brands views this funding as further validation of Mocaverse's vision in the Web3 market, facilitating seamless deployment of blockchain-based Web3 projects.

Mocaverse aims to serve as a meta-experience layer allowing interactive user identification and empowering users to create their digital identities. Users accumulate Realm Points across Mocaverse's ecosystem through various activities.
