NFT Game Farcana Raises $10M Led by Animoca Brands
Recently, Farcana has raised a substantial investment amounting to $10 million, led by Animoca Brands, Polygon Ventures, Fenbushi Capital, Merit Circle, among others.
Additional funds from Rarestone Capital, MMPro Trust, Unpopular Ventures, Kapo Capital, Emchain, Hasu Capital, and Dravus Investment also participated in this round.
Yat Siu, CEO of Animoca Brands, remarked, "I am very impressed with Farcana and expect it to go far and further develop."
The game of the same name developed by Farcana shares similarities with Blizzard's Overwatch and game modes in Riot Games' Valorant.
The game's storyline unfolds in a future world where humans have left Earth for Mars and discovered a substance granting superpowers called Axelar. Here, players battle each other to protect their bases and Axelar.
Yat Siu further stated, "The strategic investment in Farcana is part of Animoca Brands' vision to promote Web3 development in MENA, an area characterized by modernization and the adoption of cutting-edge technologies in Dubai."
According to a statement, Farcana plans to expand tournament features within the game and reward top players. Additionally, the game will be released for free with numerous gameplay modes and features.
