What is Petopia Game?

Petopia is an NFT game of the roguelike shooter genre with a top-down perspective. Developed by Mirai Labs on their new ecosystem, Mirai Chain. In the game, players transform into powerful creatures fighting against the invasion of plant armies to protect their kingdom.

Engage in combat activities, complete missions, collect gold coins, upgrade characters, and equipment to become stronger. Alongside this is the Guild System combined with an innovative Economic model (Guild Tech), which I will analyze further in the following sections of this article.

Gameplay of Petopia

Hero System

Currently, the game features 5 characters with unique sets of skills, strengths, and different weapons for you to choose from. Each character has its own weaknesses and strengths, and you can unlock all 5 of these characters through activities like daily check-ins, dungeon runs, etc.

• Sniper: Fox - Experts in long-range attacks, high damage but relatively slow and fragile.
• Assassin: Buck - A deadly option for players willing to take risks. Buck excels in speed and long jumps, with high damage capabilities, but limited attack range.
• Tank: Bufeno - A robust buffalo with the highest base health and armor among the Heroes. Ideal for players favoring a tanky playstyle.
• Fighter: Ly - A close combat specialist with impressive offensive and defensive stats. Ly is the only female Hero with high damage and moderate health and defense.
• Support: Heroes with skills suitable for long-range weapons, providing team-wide benefits.

Equipment & UpgradesEquipment & Upgrades

The game's weapon system is divided into two types: melee weapons and ranged weapons:The equipment system includes Backpacks, Chains, Hats, Gloves, and Boots. Each piece of equipment enhances specific stats such as movement speed, health, evasion, etc. These items are categorized into 5 different types: Adventure, Police, Dancer, Assassin, and Robot. Equipping at least 2 items of the same type grants bonuses specific to that set.Upgrades apply to all weapons and equipment. By fusing three identical items using the Fuse feature, you can upgrade your items.

• Ranged Weapons: Rifles, Machine Guns, Shotguns
• Melee Weapons: Daggers, Staves, Swords

Skill SystemIn

Petopia, each Hero has a set of 3 unique skills. Additionally, each gameplay session introduces various skill enhancement systems as the Hero levels up, including Poison Strikes, Damage Boosts, Health Increases, etc. Carefully consider each skill choice, as these skills stay with you throughout the match and significantly influence your gameplay style.

Game Modes

Petopia currently offers 3 gameplay modes:

• Adventure Mode: Engage in combat across 19 different floors, each progressively more challenging. Before each battle, you select 3 skills for your Hero wisely.
• Campaign Mode: This mode includes 6 different stages: Jungle 1, Jungle 2, Desert 1, Desert 2, Pumpkin 1, Pumpkin 2. Each stage requires continuous combat across 20 floors. Whenever your Hero falls, you must return to upgrade your Hero and equipment to continue the fight. Rewards escalate significantly upon successfully completing each stage.
• Arena Mode: PvP mode where players can battle each other. Players can participate in various modes such as solo or team battles. Climb the leaderboard ranks to earn attractive rewards.

Guild System

1. Components of a GuildPetopia's guild system utilizes GuildTech, a model that seamlessly integrates SocialFi and Gaming trends. Each Guild in Petopia consists of three components:Creating a Guild
   • Guild Master: Founder of the Guild.
   • Seat Owners: Direct members within the Guild.
   • Fraction Owners: Fans of the Guild.

• Seat: As the name suggests, you can only be a member of one Guild at a time. To join a Guild, you need to purchase a Seat, the price of which is set by the Guild's creator upon establishment. The price remains fixed to ensure fairness among all members. Official Guild members need to contribute, defeat Bosses, and complete Guild tasks to grow the Guild's reputation. To switch to another Guild, you must sell your current Seat and purchase a new one.
• Fractions: Similar to SocialFi's Keys, a Guild's Fractions are directly bought and sold among members. Prices increase incrementally with each purchase, offering ample opportunities for savvy traders among the 400+ Guilds in Petopia.
1. Guild EarningThis is perhaps the most anticipated aspect in every Earn-to-Play game. Unlike other Play-to-Earn games, earnings in Petopia are closely tied to the Guild system. The Guild leader sets the profit-sharing parameters whenever the Guild earns income. This income comes from transactions like Seat purchases (membership tickets) and Fraction trades (fan tickets).For example, with the set configuration, if a Guild earns 1 ETH from trading activities, 0.1 ETH goes to the Guild leader, 0.4 ETH is distributed among all Guild members, and the remaining 0.5 ETH is evenly divided among all Fraction holders of the Guild.Additionally, there are competitive events where Guilds can compete for rewards. Currently, Petopia features a top Guild racing event with prizes totaling $50,000.
