Introduction to Yield Guild Games
Yield Guild Games (YGG) is a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) focused on investing in NFTs used in blockchain-based games.
In October 2020, Yield Guild embarked on its mission by introducing the community to the play-to-earn revolution through the documentary Play-to-Earn: NFT Gaming in the Philippines.

Guild Profits
Play-to-earn is a model where you can earn money by engaging in game activities, collecting assets based on NFTs. Subsequently, you can trade or sell them on the market for profit.
Yield Guild aims to scale and help more players earn within games by investing in NFTs that guild members can rent out via scholarships.
The concept of scholarships was initially introduced by the Axie Infinity player community. Scholarships serve as an excellent entry point for newcomers to engage in NFT games.
Yield Guild provides scholarships to new players as a profit-sharing model, where the guild invests in NFT assets and leases them to newcomers, enabling them to participate in play-to-earn without upfront financial commitments.
Recipients of scholarships, known as scholars, are required only to invest their time playing the game, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn.
The income of scholars is distributed as follows:
70% to the scholar
20% to the community manager
10% to Yield Guild Games
In addition to renting NFT assets from Yield Guild, scholars receive training and guidance on gameplay from community managers.
Community managers leverage NFTs from Yield Guild and distribute these assets to promising players within their established networks.
In this manner, Yield Guild does not directly manage any scholars but acts as an intermediary, working with reputable community managers to nurture talents, help them grow, and generate profits.
YGG DAO and SubDAO
DAO stands for Decentralized Autonomous Organization, a blockchain-based open-source protocol with rules enforced by smart contracts.
YGG DAO
YGG DAO operates on Ethereum blockchain-based smart contracts. Smart contracts automate guild functions, including reward issuance and eventually advanced functions such as NFT rentals.
The DAO's assets (tokens, NFTs, virtual lands) are managed by the YGG treasury, currently overseen by Yield Guild's three co-founders.
Token holders of YGG are allowed to vote on decisions related to guild business operations and governance and participate in special activities related to DAO.
SubDAO
SubDAO operates like a smaller, nested economy interacting with a larger economy like DAO. Each YGG SubDAO is customized to focus on specific game activities and content.
SubDAOs have their own rules and conditions but contribute primary income to DAO. They can also borrow NFTs and other assets from the YGG treasury to enhance their contribution from gameplay.
Project Development Speed
The project's native token YGG was launched on July 27 and is currently listed on exchanges such as SushiSwap, Uniswap, crypto.com, Huobi, OKEX, Kucoin, and gate.io.

Scholarship updates: Doubling the number of scholars, with over 4,600 as of mid-August from the Philippines, Indonesia, India, Venezuela, Peru, and Brazil.
Revenue: In the past four months, YGG's scholars and community managers earned a total of $5,238,669.
Treasury and tokens: The public sale of tokens witnessed over 133 million YGG transferred to the treasury. While these tokens are not subject to locking conditions, they are set up for long-term DAO management and future fundraising.
DeFi: YGG currently holds a diverse asset portfolio generating profits across various protocols such as SushiSwap, Yearn, and Aave, with total locked funds in yield farming amounting to $1.09 million.
NFTs: Below is the estimated market scope and value for NFTs owned by YGG. These NFTs are held across 13 different wallets and will be used by YGG scholars and SubDAOs at various stages to generate revenue.
SAFTs: This is part of YGG's long-term vision for the play-to-earn ecosystem. YGG will invest early in games, platforms, and protocols. The investment amounts are reflected in the figure below.

These are five top experts in the field with a shared interest in advancing the economic development of the Metaverse, equipped with the necessary expertise to help Yield Guild capitalize on market potential and maximize profits.
Recently, Yield Guild Games announced they had secured $4.6 million in funding led by venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz (a16z).
Additionally, Kingsway Capital, Infinity Ventures Crypto, Atelier Ventures, and entrepreneur Gabriel Leydon also participated.
This funding will be used for YGG to continue investing in digital assets within games and the virtual world across the play-to-earn ecosystem, while expanding the global community to over 45,000 players.
