What is Pudgy Penguins?
Pudgy Penguins is a collection of PFP NFTs (Profile Picture NFTs) launched in July 2021 on the Ethereum blockchain. This collection consists of 8888 NFTs featuring cute penguins inspired by the Arctic species. These NFTs, known as Pengu, can be purchased on NFT marketplaces like OpenSea.
Each NFT is composed of various elements:

- Skin
Owners of Pudgy Penguins NFTs enjoy privileges such as participation in exclusive events and communities reserved for holders. These NFTs can also be used as profile pictures on social media or for commercial activities (e.g., merchandise sales, printing on apparel). Additionally, each owner of a Pudgy Penguins NFT receives an Airdrop of a Lil Pudgys NFT and can participate in events organized by Pudgy Penguins.
NFT Game Pudgy World Reveals Plans
Pudgy Penguins recently unveiled their first NFT game, Pudgy World, during the Art Basel event in Miami, showcasing a 3D browser-based gaming experience. The alpha version of the game is scheduled for release around 2024.
Despite controversies surrounding Pudgy Penguins, the project has successfully raised $9M in funding. Holders of Pudgy Penguins NFTs will be among the first to experience Pudgy World.
